Boston Magazine - 1121 BLI.jpg

Three-week programs, such at Biological Research, Electronics and Robotics, and Finance, are competitive admissions research programs, providing incredibly valuable credentials for college applications. One-week programs, such as Physics of Space, Introduction to Surgery, and Sports Statistics, are an excellent option for students with limited free time over the summer or who want to explore several different STEM subjects. Day and residential options are available for both three-week and one-week programs, and BLI accepts rising eighth-graders and above. Programs run from 9:00-3:30, allowing students hours to dissect in the lab, deliberate in the board room, or explore in a museum or hospital.

BLI has been featured as one of the top summer programs in the country by New York Times subsidiary, Johns Hopkins CTY Magazine, ParentMap, and numerous additional sources. In 2018, The Biotechnology Institute named BLI the sole winner of the BioSTEM Leader Award, which recognizes one program in the country that encourages the country's future biotechnology leaders to pursue their dreams.

Emagination photo for 2018.jpg

Emagination blends technology learning with fun summer camp activities to create a well-rounded summer camp experience. Sessions are two-weeks long so campers have time to become part of a community while learning new skills at tech camp.

3 Program Options:

Tech Camp: Campers ages 8 – 17 choose three technology workshops and one recreation workshop. Our STEM-based tech workshops allow campers to explore their interests in coding, science, and technology. Campers round out their day in a fun, physically active way, with one of our recreation workshops which include Retro Games, Improv, and Free Swim.

Game Design: Teens ages 15 – 18 experience what it’s like to work at today’s top game design studios. Choose a role on a development team then design and build a 3D video game. Teens learn the key technical and creative components of video game design including level design and function, the creation of 3D characters, lighting, sound effects and programming. Learn to use industry standard software including 3ds Max © and Maya © from Autodesk; Adobe Photoshop ©; and Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games.

Progressive curriculum allows campers with prior coding experience to expand Java coding skills. Less experienced campers learn Java fundamentals then move on to more complex concepts.

University locations in Fairfield, CT and near Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta bring together "kids like me" from nearby towns, states across America and many foreign countries.

The Emagination Difference:

Maine Teen Camp

A fully elective; 2, 3, 4 or 7 week sleep away camp for teenagers only (13 – 17 years).  MTC takes the best aspects of an American Summer Camp - a true community of peers, space and opportunity for growth, introduction to new skills and people, lack of electronic screens and lots of exposure to nature and the chance to simply be yourself - that are most important for teens; while making the whole experience more approachable for a teenage camper - programming designed with teenage needs and interests in mind, an open and welcoming clique-free social environment, and a diverse and international population.

MTC is the best choice for a teen looking to change camps, or try camp for the first time. Your camper can feel confident coming to MTC and knowing that they are not the only "new kid", that the activities and schedule are designed JUST for teenagers, and that they will be meeting new friends from across the country and around the world.   Most of our campers come to MTC without knowing anyone else. For a teen looking for a summer of self-growth and independence, this is vital.  All our age groups will have significant numbers of first time campers.  By focusing only on teens, MTC is not diluting its activity offerings, attempting to cater to 9 year olds and 15 year olds as if they were developmental the same. We recognize that adolescence is a unique stage, and account for this in all we do at camp. We offer a strong activity list featuring rock music, a professional level tennis program, waterskiing and wakeboarding,  cooking, and community service (and so much more!)
